A solid performace by Llwal considering he took the fight on 1 days notice and came in 7kg under the set weight!

As the rounds went on Michael was moving away from Yannis hands and counter kicking to the legs and body well eventually landing a clean left kick to Yanni's ribs sending him down for the count.

Michael Altamura by KO (Left rib kick)

Fight 4

Daniel Way  vs    Steve Behan

Victoria                The Firm - Willunga Kick boxing!

From the opening bell it was clean Daniel had an unorthadox fighting style which seemed to have Steve confused. Steve was pushing forward the entire fight with heavy hands, he landed some solid punches which would have sent most fighters down but Daniel seemed unphased! Steve began tenderising Daniels leg with some good kicks but still Daniel did not slow. After countless punishment the fight went to the final bell!

Steve Behan UPD!

Fight 5

Bon    vs    Laura Bowman

Thailand    Flinders Uni Muay Thai

Bon started the traditional thai way, just feeling Laura out and landing some good kicks. Laura was also cautious during the first round, not quite knowing how to pass Bons solid kicks as she stepped forward. The next 2 rounds saw Laura start to avoid the kicks and use her boxing to put Bon on the back foot. Laura was aggresive in the third but Bon countered well, making the fight a hard one for the judges to call!

Laura Bowman UPD! (Very impressive since Laura took this fight on 6 hours notice)

Fight 8

Areta Gilbert                   vs           Tom Boyle

Dimitri Illiev      vs      Charlie Chau

Tiapan Muay Thai      Rikers

Charlie opened strong with some good combos but was often finding Dimitri's guard, Dimitri seemed very calm and picked his shots well. Charlie, knowing that Dimitri was a power puncher was throwing some hard left kicks into Dimitri's right arm, this seemed to pay off near the end of the second round where Dimitri recieved an out count due to an injured right hand. In the third Dimitri again complained about the right, recieved another count which he didnt recover from!

Charlie Chau TKO

William Sriyapai   vs    Kym Johnson

USA                            Rikers

Kym used some very quick combos in the first round and was landing well. William was tough though, pushing forward and landing some good punches to Kyms head. As the rounds went on it was clear the much younger and taller Kym Johnson was too quick and technical for William landing head kicks and knees at will. Kym started very aggresive in the 3rd using some long punches and good step up knees putting William down for twice for 8 counts! In the 4th William seemed very hesitant and off balance, going down the the cavas 3 times for counts and the fight was finally called off!

Kym Johnson TKO!

Fight 12

Steve Banks     vs      Paul Slowinski

USA                           Sting Crew

Weighing in at 139kg and at 6'6 tall Steve Banks looked like a monster! As soon as the opening bell rang both fighters seemed to be looking to do damage, Banks was very agile for such a big unit and had Slowinski on the back foot for most of the first round! Banks landed some good elbows and put quite a large gash on the right side of Slowinski's head but was given the ok by the doctor! Not long into the second it was apparent that Banks was gassed, he placed himself in the corner and seemed to be trying to rest while Slowinski hammered away at his body with some thunderous punches and kicks! Banks countered with a giant left hook sending Slowinski down to the canvas where he shook his head and was luckily spared an 8 count. The third was much of the same but Banks' body was becoming purple and he everntually crumbled under the pain and feel to his knees for an 8 count. As soon as he recovered Slowinski went back to the body, this time ending the fight and sending the crowd into a frenzy!

Paul Slowinski TKO
